Q. Please introduce yourself!
Hello, my name is Donghoon Ha and I am working as a Backend Engineer at Corka Dev Team. It's been 3 months and 3 weeks since I joined the company!

Q. Please tell us about what you do at Corca!
I mainly develop back-end features and ensure that the new features of the services provided by Corca operate stably.
Q. What capabilities or mindset do you think is needed to do a good job as a Backend Engineer at Corca?
Although it has not been long since I arrived in Corca,Requires the ability to quickly adapt and respond quickly to changeI felt like I did it! Looking at the products being developed by Corca,The development process is progressing very quickly, and improvements are being made quickly even in areas that are lacking.! There are a lot of changes, so adapting and responding quickly is an important competency.I think so!
andIt is important to have the mindset to take initiativeI think it does! If you work hard, you will be able to take on more and more roles!
Q. When do you feel the fun and reward of work? Conversely, when is work difficult and difficult?
Wait a minute.. You have to enter a keyword to get an answer..! (laughter)
Haha... That's a really developer-like answer.🤣
I like my work, and I think the service we are developing at Corca is a fun and valuable product, so I generally enjoy working there! To name a few specifically, I think it's fun and rewarding when I create a good feature or improve something that's lacking in a new service, or when I get good reviews from my colleagues during code reviews!
Also, it was really fun when the Closet service, an AI chatbot that recommends outfits, was recently launched! What Younghyun (CEO) saysI want to bring good value to the world through technology.I agree with that statement and think that the service we are creating now can create such value in the future, so I think it is even more rewarding!
On the other hand, when I feel difficult, I still feel like I have some shortcomings, so I feel like it's difficult when I can't solve the technical part smoothly or when I face a problem for which I don't have an answer. ButBecause we have strong colleagues at Korca, we help each other overcome difficulties.I'm doing it!
While working on the recently launched Closet, both planners and developers said that they were more motivated by launching the product in a lean way and seeing the market reaction and user feedback! Thank you for your hard work!!

Q. What was the area where you grew the most while working as a Backend Engineer at Corca?
Since I am an Engineer, I think I have grown a lot in the technical aspect. Technical aspects have also improved, but as mentioned above,I have a proactive mindsetEven when I feel that way, I think I have grown a lot!
As time went by, Dong-Hoon shared more of his worries and organized things, so I could see him growing up in a short period of time.
Q. What topics do Korca’s Dev team talk about most often these days?
Product improvement seems to be the topic that comes up most often in the Dev team these days. We quickly planned, developed, and launched the AI chatbot I mentioned earlier using Closet, and as an extension of that, we are preparing a chatbot that launches products or services on the client's web/app! There are many similar features, but we often talk about what shortcomings there were during the development process and how we can improve them this time!
Closet took just one week to plan and two weeks to develop, and the Dev team worked really hard! I'm curious about the Dev team's reaction at the time of launch. What was it like?
Since many people had recently joined the company and ADCIO did not have any clients yet, everyone was thirsty for users' opinions and wanted the experience of providing services. I think we all had fun launching it through Closet and seeing how users used it. We were all nervous that there might be a problem, but we had fun launching it 😊
Q. What was the most impressive scene or episode while working at Corca?
My most memorable memory was that when I was in my second month, Gyeongtaek (Backend Engineer) gave me his opinion and I went on a picnic along the Han River with my team members! When asked what I consider most important when joining a company, growth and human relationshipsI said that! Since coming to Seoul, I've never been on a picnic by the Han River because I've been so focused on development studies, but I think this was the episode that impressed me the most because I felt like I had a great time with great team members!
Are you satisfied with both growth and human relationships at Corca?
Yes! Of course~ I am 200% satisfied!!
Q. What do you think are the strengths of the current Corca team?
Hmm... there are three things that come to mind right now! I will tell you slowly one by one~
First of all, I think the first thing is the ability to adapt quickly. In the case of this Closet, development was carried out very quickly, and there were no problems at all during the entire follow-up process of the team members! There were many things that needed improvement along the way, butSeeing everyone step up and solve the problem, the Corca team was able to adapt quickly.I thought you had it!
And the second is,Having a colleague by your side who you can learn a lot fromThis is it.Corca team members are very capable and passionate about their work, which motivates me to grow with more passion.I think it's happening!
Lastly, Younghyun and the team leads are great at holding 1-on-1 meetings on a regular basis. The advantage of the entire Corca team is that there are reliable people with whom you can share your concerns regarding company life or work.It seems to be working!
Q. Donghoon, what does Corca look like a year from now?
First of all, the most important service that the Dev team is preparing is the retail media platform Adcio. As Adcio operates stably, I think we will become a company where more people truly empathize with the value our product provides! Haha
Q. How do you want to grow at Corca in the future, Dong-Hoon?
Recently, as I saw Choonghwan (Dev Lead) handle so many aspects and follow up, I thought I should aim to do the same. Since I mainly do backend work now, I only focused on the tasks given to me.Grow to a level where you can understand how the work you are responsible for affects the product or the entire team and handle it directly.I want to! As an engineer, I think I must be good at technical aspects, and I want to grow into a more proactive person in terms of work!

Q. What kind of influence do you want to have at Corca in the future?
There are many people at Corca who are still having a positive influence, so I want to become someone they want to work with like those team members! andMy personal goal is to be someone who takes responsibility and completes assigned tasks and creatively solves problems when they arise. This is what happens!Seeing myself as proactive and creative, I have a positive influence on the team members I work with and grow together.I hope I’m someone who can do it 😆
Q. Is there anything you would like to say to prospective applicants applying to Korca as a Backend Engineer?
First of all, it seems like the company pays a lot of attention to welfare and compensation-related issues! And I tend to ask a lot of questions, and when I ask questions about not only work but also career and company life, I feel like they are trying to help me a lot, so I think prospective applicants will be able to come and grow well! I think the most important thing at work is my colleagues. There are team members who are full of passion and have a lot to learn from, so it is an opportunity to work harder together at Corca.I think it will work 😉
Q. Who do you expect to join the Corca Tech Team as a colleague?
A person who can work with a proactive attitude and responsibility for the assigned tasksI hope so!
As I've said, there is a lot to learn from those who are currently there, so I hope to see them and apply them myself, and to create colleagues who can passionately share what they've learned or felt without hesitation :)
It was an energetic interview with Dong-Hoon, who is passionate about growth! I think it will be of great help to those who are interested in Corca by telling a vivid story about the recently launched Closet service. Thank you once again, Dong-Hoon, for answering the interview despite your busy schedule!!
