Product Designer delivering positive energy
This is an interview conducted to inform the public about what the Corca Product Team does.
Seonyeong Kim (HR Manager) and Minchae Kim (Product Manager) asked questions, and Seongji Ahn (Product Designer) answered.

Q. Please introduce yourself!
Hello! I'm from CorcaProduct Designer spreading positive energyThis is Seongji Ahn.
Q. Please tell us about what you do at Corca!
I am responsible for overall UX/UI design and service design at Corca. Recently, I've been developing Corca's design system!
Q. What capabilities or mindset do you think is needed to do a good job as a Product Designer at Corca?
As a designer, I believe that individual efforts are necessary, but I also believe that we all need the ability and mindset to work together and collaborate. In order to do a good job, you may try to fulfill your capabilities because of your personal greed, but since we all work together,Willingness to work togetherI think this is important.
Designers have to create visual work, so there are areas where they work alone, but in order to do that work, it is important to communicate with team members at the front end and in the middle process to complete the work.
Q. When do you feel the fun and reward of work? Conversely, when is work difficult and difficult?
They say that the most rewarding time for a designer is when it is applied to services. What I am doing right now is not at the stage where it can be applied to the service.It is fun and rewarding when you feel like you are working well when communicating or collaborating while creating a design system.I think I feel it.I feel proud and feel like I am growing when this kind of communication translates well into my work.is receiving.
On the other hand, I don't think I've ever had a difficult or difficult time. Recently, I was asked this question during 1on1 with Younghyun, but I told him that I don't have it anymore. Even if there was, I don't think it felt like it was because it was more fun and enjoyable.
Q. What was the area where you grew the most while working as a Product Designer at Corca?
This is connected to the competency part I mentioned earlier, because I thought that I had to be prepared first in order to communicate with others when working. In fact, while talking with team members from various fields, I realized that while it is important to fill in my shortcomings, it should not be the only thing. I learned how to ask for help, and I also learned how to help others.
Experience in resolving my own concerns by talking with other team membersI ended up doing it.If you have been a frog in the well until now, the biggest growth is getting out of the well and entering the bigger world.I think I did it.
Q. What topic does Corca’s Product team talk about most often these days?
We have stand-up meetings every week, and we talk a lot about small things as well as work. One of my interests is health, so we talk about health a lot. We took care of each other when we were sick or had a hard time, and we even set a weight loss goal to take care of our health. We often talk about work, but other than that, we also seem to talk a lot about health!
The Korca team even has a workout channel! Although I don't do exercise certification often, Seongji does it often, and it's great to see the team members supporting and encouraging each other!
Q. What was the most impressive scene or episode while working at Corca?
There are so many impressive scenes, but it's hard to pick just one, so I'll tell you about two.
First, onboarding! After joining the company, onboarding was conducted like completing a quest, but I think it was even more impressive because it was conducted on the first day of joining the company. I wanted to meet everyone at the company, and they made onboarding fun from the first day, so I think it was nice to be able to talk to people at the company.
The second is how to eat lunch. When I talked about our company's case to my acquaintances who work at the company, they seemed very entertained. I think it was impressive to have autonomy and eat together with the entire company rather than just with the same team members. If you're not on the same team or on the same project, you don't have many opportunities to talk.It's really nice to be able to get close to all the team members easily.I think so.
Q. What do you think are the strengths of the current Corca team?
I thinkThe biggest advantage of the Korca team is that the team members are not afraid of people.This is it. I think this is a really important element in a startup.When a new person comes, you welcome them, and not only welcome them, but also communicate well with them.I think so.
With these advantages, I think it can be applied well even when new things such as lunch rules and onboarding are created.
Q. Seongji, what does Corca look like a year from now?
The service is growing a lot, and the number of clients is increasing one by one, so I can imagine the service growing a lot.Corca is known for its fresh and fun company culture, as there are many company cultures that are unique to Corca.I can imagine this!
Q. How do you want to grow in Corca in the future?
I want to improve my technical skills, but I really like talking to people.A person who spreads greater positive energy in Corca, where positive people gatherI want to become this. When I introduced myself, I said that I wanted to become a Product Designer who spreads positive energy, and I also want to become a person who can spread my positive energy to Corca and make people feel it. And go furtherA person who has grown both at work and in relationships with peopleI want to be this!
Q. What kind of influence do you want to have at Corca in the future?
To answer this question in a more technical way, I don't want to be someone who is just positive and bright. I want to become a strong person who can be trusted by my colleagues.
I want to deliver a positive influence, but I also want to become a strong person who my colleagues can trust and entrust with work to me and have faith in me.
I think this is the really difficult part. It seems difficult to be a bright and positive person who is solid at work, but Seongji is doing well and I look forward to the future~
Q. Who do you expect to join the Corca Product Team as a colleague?
I don't think everyone can be perfect.A person who is not afraid of his own shortcomingsI wish you would come. I don't think that if I become frustrated with myself because I'm not good enough and spend a lot of time worrying alone, it won't lead to the team's growth. When you join the Product Team,Although you need to worry about your own shortcomings, it is more important to communicate with your team members so that you can move in a better direction.I think I did it.
Additionally, at Corca, you can also get help from people outside of your field. Everyone helps me even if it's not my job, so I hope I can be someone who can accept that.
Q. Is there anything you would like to say to prospective applicants to Korca as a Product Designer?
Will I be able to do well in Corca? I hope you don’t have to worry too much! As I said earlierCorca team members are not afraid of new people and are good at communicating, so apply with anticipation rather than worry.I hope you do it~
Also, when you join the company as a designer, I hope you will communicate a lot with me~ I am lonely right now because I am the only designer, but I look forward to the day when we can have fun working together at Corca😊
